Six Perspex Boxes

Box No. 1 - Salami / Four stacks comprising 140 slices of salami. The slices were photographed from multiple viewpoints and reconstructed through 3DF Zephyr photogrammetry to produce a digital 3D model.

Box No. 2 - Zephyr Model / An electronic screen displays the Zephyr model hosted on Sketchfab (1).

Box No. 3 — Zephyr 3D Print / The digital model displayed in Box No. 2 provided the file from which a physical 3D print was produced.

Box No. 4 — Painting / A 9 × 9 cm oil painting on oak panel was made from the 3D print in Box No. 3.

Box No. 5 — Meshy Model / A photograph of the oil painting was processed through Meshy’s AI Image-to-3D system to generate a new digital 3D model. This model was uploaded to Sketchfab (2) and is displayed on an electronic screen.

Box No. 6 — Meshy 3D Print / The Meshy model displayed in Box No. 5 provided the file from which a second physical 3D print was produced. At this point the sequence becomes potentially recursive: its latest material state can become the input for another cycle of scanning, generation and materialisation.
